Hope Education Project UK Is now a registered charity

We’re proud to announce that the Hope Education Project UK is now officially registered as a UK charity. HEP UK is a separate entity to Hope Education Project Ghana, a registered NPO in Ghana and is an important next-step towards building a sustainable operational model for our program.

This step marks the start of a new phase. It means we can now fundraise openly in the UK  – through small grants and public donations – to support the backbone of our work: the overhead that keeps our education and anti-trafficking programmes in Ghana running.

Our model works. We’ve proved it in Northern Ghana through the schools and communities programme and the SOMA sisterhood initiative, empowering young people and communities with the knowledge and tools to resist human trafficking and stay safe online. But to grow sustainably, we need people and resources behind the mission.

Becoming a registered charity lets us bring new voices into the team – volunteers who can help us manage accounts, identify funding opportunities, assist with fundraising, and grow our presence through social media and communications. If you have experience in any of these areas and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Donate: Your support keeps our education programmes running and covers essential costs while we apply for foundation and government grants. You can donate here.

  • Volunteer: Join us in the UK to help shape the future of HEP through your skills in accounting, fundraising, grants research, or marketing.

Together we can ensure that Hope Education Project continues to reach the children and communities who need it most. Help us to expand our program in tamale and throughout Ghana.
